Ambassador Justin Hawley

In September 2021, Justin Hawley became the Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis to the United Arab Emirates.  Ambassador Hawley joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2001 as a Foreign Service Officer and has held several positions within the Federal Government including Deputy Registrar of Intellectual Property and Trade Policy Officer.  In 2006 he was appointed as a Trade Policy Analyst at the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States Technical Mission to the World Trade Organisation in Geneva where he was involved in negotiations related to the Doha Development Agenda.

Prior to becoming Ambassador, His Excellency served as Consul General at the Consulate General of St Kitts and Nevis to Dubai from 2016 to 2021.  He has also held the position of Research Fellow at the CARICOM Office of Trade Negotiations, where he represented St Kitts and Nevis at numerous trade negotiations.  His Excellency also served as  Counsellor/Alternate Representative at the Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis to the USA/Permanent Mission to the Organisation of American States (OAS).

Ambassador Hawley holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom.
